Church at Flatey Island, Iceland

That church is the main point of this picture. For taking it, I went north, as I wanted the mountains of the mainland in the background. I chose the composition that the rising slope of the mountains mimicks that of the church. To get that, I used my Sigma 70-200/2.8 with a 1.4x teleconverter. The overall focal length was 160mm at f8, 1/800s.

The Church of Christ Pantocrator in Nessebar

Christ Pantocrator’s is distinguished by its exterior decoration, with ingeniously alternating architectural forms and multicoloured ceramic inlays. The patterns on each facade is different. The elegant niches and gables, Lombard arches, crenellated corniches, contrasting with stone slabs and red bricks, combined masonry and vivid combination of ceramic rosettes, and other ornaments, all have a unique aestetic impact.

Monica Parish), located on the town’s highest ground called burul (the town had moved to its present site due to flooding, hence ‘minalis,’ later corrupted to minalin) but despite its elevation, silt from the river has already invaded its beautiful church.
