In this era of computerization, pictures speak more than words. We digitize each and every moment of our life in the form of pictures. So it is but natural to share images with our friends. This is where we face problems. If the image size is too big, there is problem in uploading or if we compress the image then we have to compromise with the image quality after compression.
To solve this problem we have Caesium, which is an image processing software compressing images up to 90% and retaining quality at the same time. Additional features provided by Caesium are batch processing and previewing pictures details of which are given below.
Caesium offers the following features:
Compress Photos
Compression depends on the file format of the images i.e.,file format of the starting image and that of the final image. If the converting is done from BMP/PNG to JPEG then you’ll get the best compression otherwise if the if it is from JPEG to JPEG then the result will be not as good.
Previewing Image
Before compressing you might need to preview the images to make sure which image you are compressing. This can be done by selecting the image on your left and clicking on preview. You can also change the settings if you want the image to small or large.
Batch Processing
Another important feature of Caesium is batch processing which helps you altering multiple images at the same time. You just need to select all the images in a folder which can be done by drag and drop mechanism. You can also choose the quality of each image separately to get the best size to quality ratio. Suffix can also be added to the name of the file for easy searching.
Portable
While downloading Caesium, you will be two options i.e., to download .exe file or the portable version. Selecting the portable version will allow you to use the portable application on your USB drive.
